During a two-year renovation, the design team chose to preserve original elements such as exposed brick walls, timber beams, and the open floor plan while introducing softer materials and finishes to create a warmer, more livable environment.

One of the most significant transformations involved the central staircase. The original narrow metal spiral staircase, which occupied an awkward position within the layout, was replaced by a sculptural plaster staircase that serves as both a functional circulation element and a striking architectural centerpiece.

The main living area is positioned alongside large windows overlooking the neighborhood. Original brick walls were refinished in lighter tones, softening the rugged character often associated with former industrial buildings while helping natural light spread throughout the space.

The kitchen is considered the heart of the home. A generous island serves both everyday cooking needs and social gatherings with family and friends. Above it, a newly installed skylight allows daylight to flood the center of the apartment, enhancing the sense of openness.

In contrast, the bar area and several secondary spaces embrace darker tones and softer lighting, creating a cozy atmosphere during the evening hours. This transition between bright and intimate spaces adds depth, character, and emotional richness to the interior.
