A House Inspired by Boutique Hotels in Brazil

Located in Brasília, the capital of Brazil, this 537-square-meter house was designed to accommodate two generations living together under one roof. Rather than dividing the property into separate structures, the architects created a unified composition that balances privacy with a strong sense of connection among family members.

The house is organized into two functional wings positioned on either side of a central living zone. This core area accommodates the living room, dining space, and kitchen, serving as the heart of the house and the primary gathering place for daily family life.

An open architectural approach is one of the project's defining features. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls establish a seamless connection between the interior spaces and the surrounding gardens, allowing natural light and landscape views to become an integral part of everyday living.

Greenery is present throughout the property, from courtyards and pathways to framed views within the house itself. As a result, nature becomes an essential component of the living experience rather than merely a decorative element.

The material palette is deliberately restrained, featuring wood, natural stone, and exposed concrete. Together, these materials create a warm and understated atmosphere while maintaining the refined character often associated with high-end hospitality design.

According to the design team, the project was inspired by the boutique hotels the homeowners encountered during their travels. This influence is reflected in the careful attention given to materials, lighting, and spatial experience rather than elaborate decorative details.

Outside, a swimming pool follows soft, organic curves that respond naturally to the site's landscape. Adjacent lounge and dining areas create an outdoor environment reminiscent of a private resort, encouraging relaxation and social interaction.

Viewed from above, the house appears as a harmonious composition of architecture, water, and greenery. Rather than making a statement through monumental scale or dramatic forms, the house achieves its identity through a sense of tranquility, comfort, and connection with nature.
